Fever and cold and manager asking me to work

Has anyone been in this situation. I’m 32 weeks pregnant and I’ve been having this cold for a week now and developed a fever. Now it’s just worse and my midwife advised me stay home and rest. I message my manager and told him I won’t be well to come into the office and he just asked me if I can get my husband to come into the office to grab my laptop so I can work from home. I’m unwell and could barely keep my eyes open and he expects me to work. What can I do in this situation? Any advices

You are entitled to sick days so I would just message again in the morning and explain that you won't be working as you feel very rough. You need to rest and your manager needs to understand that. Lots of people seem to be coming down with covid so might be worth checking

I hope you feel better soon x

I know going to HR isn't easy but I feel they need to be made aware as we are all human and it is normal to catch things. Your manager doesn't sound like a people's person and I feel that that is something managers should be

I feel that if you reach out again and they push back, I would let HR know

He shouldn't be asking you to do that. He probably doesnt realise and he maybe under pressure. But just respectfully decline. X

Just seen your latest comment. You really need to mention it to HR. They sound like a toxic manager. This environment can't be good for anyone

Hope you are ok x

C - section

Hello lovelies, I’m getting closer to my date of c section.

Can I ask how it all went for you? I felt prepared and now I have this awful feeling what if I bleed out! I’m sure that’s not the case. But I just wondered how it went, and how the aftermath was. I have seen on social media people say it’s horrendous but then I speak to friends and family and they’re like yeah it’s not easy but you can cope! You can walk, etc. I think it’s the unknown… lol!

Also were you all sick during your procedure and did you all get terrible trapped gas? If so what tips do you have xx

Can you see anything? I’m 12 DPO 🙏

My own opinion is that this is inconclusive (can maybe see a vvvfl but could also be an indent too hard to tell) but curious what others see

Just want to sleep again! 🫩

I wake up around 8.30am, have some cereal, meditate/pray for a bit, make a cuppa and then by 10am I’m tired again and could easily nap. My iron levels have been checked and were fine. Is it just me or is anyone else feeling like this? I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant 👀

Best way to be induced??

I just found out I may need to be induced early due to preeclampsia and having a generally bigger baby which of the ways to be induced do y’all recommended?

This is a bit strange.. but hear me out

I am 36 weeks and 4 days today.
I had that feeling, you know when you are trying to take a tampon out on your end of period and it kind of hurts because the tampon is dry? I had that sensation today?

Now I feel like I have to push something about my vagina? It kinda tickles but uncomfortable. I’m not having any pains at all anywhere btw so can’t be baby ??
