Early scan advice!

I’ve just found out I’m nearly 5 weeks pregnant with my second baby and my eldest being 10months. I’m contemplating booking a private reassurance scan but not sure where is recommended. I’m hesitant on the thought of having a Transvaginal scan, but was hoping to book a scan around 8 weeks. Does anyone have any recommendations of where to go for the scans in Bristol/ South Gloucestershire areas and any experiences (positive or negative) of a transvaginal scan. Any help is so appreciated. Thank you x

I went to window to the womb in Bristol at 6 weeks pregnant and 9 weeks. Had a transvaginal scan for both and it was absolutely fine. Didn’t hurt and the sonographer didn’t make me feel uncomfortable in the slightest x

We went to Ultrasound Direct in Bradley Stoke as they were reccomeneded by a friend and they were brilliant. We had our first scan at 6 weeks and was just a normal ultrasound. The sonographer was lovely!

I didn’t have one with my pregnancy but I have had what feels like one too many transvaginal ultrasounds for other reasons. I’m ngl, they are uncomfortable but they’re bearable.

I had my private reassurance scan at 9 weeks with window to the womb. I would book in for a regular abdominal ultrasound as you’ll need a full bladder for it, and then if they can’t see anything and ask if you’ll be up for a transvaginal, you can go to the toilet as you need an empty bladder for it. I think it’s best to do it that way, as if you do the opposite you’d probably be made to rebook. But you never know- they might be able to get a good look at baby, that’s what happened for me! Best of luck & congratulations on your pregnancy xxx

C - section

Hello lovelies, I’m getting closer to my date of c section.

Can I ask how it all went for you? I felt prepared and now I have this awful feeling what if I bleed out! I’m sure that’s not the case. But I just wondered how it went, and how the aftermath was. I have seen on social media people say it’s horrendous but then I speak to friends and family and they’re like yeah it’s not easy but you can cope! You can walk, etc. I think it’s the unknown… lol!

Also were you all sick during your procedure and did you all get terrible trapped gas? If so what tips do you have xx

Can you see anything? I’m 12 DPO 🙏

My own opinion is that this is inconclusive (can maybe see a vvvfl but could also be an indent too hard to tell) but curious what others see

Just want to sleep again! 🫩

I wake up around 8.30am, have some cereal, meditate/pray for a bit, make a cuppa and then by 10am I’m tired again and could easily nap. My iron levels have been checked and were fine. Is it just me or is anyone else feeling like this? I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant 👀

Best way to be induced??

I just found out I may need to be induced early due to preeclampsia and having a generally bigger baby which of the ways to be induced do y’all recommended?

This is a bit strange.. but hear me out

I am 36 weeks and 4 days today.
I had that feeling, you know when you are trying to take a tampon out on your end of period and it kind of hurts because the tampon is dry? I had that sensation today?

Now I feel like I have to push something about my vagina? It kinda tickles but uncomfortable. I’m not having any pains at all anywhere btw so can’t be baby ??
