This topic is very confusing to me. How do you prepare formula milk at home and outside? How do you heat or cool it? Have you found any practical methods? Please help 🥹

Hey girl, we used to prepare it by a bottles but now we do a jug for cluster feeds. I feed baby a big bottle and give top ups if needed. So once we boil the kettle, we set a timer for 30 minutes to cool add the cold water into the bottle then add the right amount of formula scoops. For example, my little girl is 210ml which is seven scoops of formula. This is displayed on the back of the tub. When going out I either pre make bottles or bring whatever is left in the fridge and use my Tommy tippy travel bottle warmer which is basically a thermos that you fill with boiling hot water and when you’re ready to heat the milk up, you remove the top white part, pour a little hot water into it and place the bottle in the white part bottle to heat up which I dry with her muslin or tissue if you have at hand. A lot of mummies find nuvi rapid cool easy to use

Sorry I forgot to add if I need to cool I just run the bottle under a cold water or sit the bottle in a jug of cold water for a few minutes and keep testing until I feel it’s cool enough to give baby

Also, if you’re home and you have bottles in the fridge, you can boil the kettle and heat the bottle up by putting in a jug of hot water which I used to do, but was building a lot of limescale in the kettle so now I’ve been using the tommee tippee bottle warmer electric one and after two boils the temperature is perfect so you may want to invest in that as it’s quicker than waiting for the kettle to boil

Also make your bottles in advance you have 24 hours to use them

Feel free to message me if anything x
