Getting induced tomorrow evening and I’m honestly freaking out…any advice or words of wisdom?

Congratulations! It’s nerve wracking if it’s your first, but remember it’s all going to be over before you know it and the magic of holding your baby for the first time is literally the best feeling in the whole world!! I had an induction back in June and had… pretty much every intervention possible? Lol yikes 😬 I survived though. Happy to answer questions and ease your nerves if you need me to!

I wish I waited a bit longer for the epidural? It just slowed the process a bit and I couldn’t move around much after getting it. Stay moving for as long as possible!

They had me push on my back. Don’t do that it’s liiiiiiiiiterally your worst option.

They had me push before I was ready or even at 10. Girl, wait till you’re ready!!

They had me hold my breath and push. Don’t do that either!!

And say no to all the cervical checks up until the end. You don’t need them!! Tell them to gtfo lol

praying you’re all active right now🙏PLEASE ANSWER if you see this!

I’m 37 weeks today (it’s 1:28am) and I’m having reduced movement. I usually feel baby going crazy at this time but he’s not moving much or at all right now. he is usually active between 12-4am. do I wait a little longer or should I ring triage and go in??

everytime I’ve gone in for reduced movement, baby has been PERFECTLY fine. In fact he starts kicking the second i get there. I’m also having a perfect pregnancy, there is no health issues or complications. I feel like this is important information to add as it explains why I’m worrying but not toooo much. I’m sure everything is fine but what do you think?
Should I wait or go in?

Collecting Colostrum

Only putting this here as I don’t have anyone to say this to 😂. Started collecting colostrum today at 36 weeks. I’m getting induced at 37 weeks due to little one being on the smaller side so I was advised by my midwife to start collecting this week. I managed to get 0.5ml this morning after 10 minute(might have been more if I didn’t miss the syringe as no one told me how fiddly it was 😂). For my first time collecting I would say that wasn’t bad at all.

Heart beat

I went for my 16 week appointment with my husband and my midwife managed to find the heart beat with the Doppler today. It's the first time I've been able to hear it because in my scans they didn't let me hear it. It felt so surreal and I can't stop listening to it. Baby also kicked when she was listening. I just can't wait for my 20 week appointment now to see baby again and hopefully find out the gender. The heart rate was 140 today

Testing at 12 week scan

I am currently 10w +3, I had my first midwife appointment last week. She mentioned about the screening for Down's syndrome, Edwards' syndrome and Patau's syndrome and that this would be done at my 12 week scan if we wanted it. I know it’s only to advise if the chance is higher or lower of the baby having this but I’m sooo torn whether to have it! Just looking for a bit of advice really, do most people have this testing done? Is there anyone that didn’t?

Advice Please

Yesterday my waters broke at 40w and 4d at 6pm.
I was kept in hospital and started on the gel straightaway. I had that at 2am this morning and apart from twinges of pain in my groin it doesn’t seem to have worked. I’m on the list for labour ward to start on the drip but have been told by a student midwife it could be a couple of days as they are busy.
Surely when your waters have broken you can not be left that long? Very worried about myself and baby.

Vomiting 🆘

Hi I just vomited for the 5th time today I can’t even hold down water I’m 17w should I go to the ER I have a splitting headache is this normal ? What the hell is happening to me ?
