Babbling!

My little girls exactly the same! Don't worry, it sounds like your little one is focusing more on their physical skills too. It'll come, they're still so little.

Properly babbling now but this has only just started in the last week. My first son wasn't properly babbling until more like one year but then his speech came on really quickly, he was an early walker. They can only focus on one skill at a time.

Lol, I remember feeling like this. I have a 2yo who was barely saying "mama" around this age, and now won't shut up. 😅 Her doctor was shocked by how ahead her speech was at her 18 month appointment. Hope this helps.

My baby has said ‘dada’ and ‘baba’ but doesn’t consistently babble them how I hear others doing it.
But like yours, he is doing lots of trying to crawl and stand ect at the moment so I’m hoping it’s just delayed because he’s focusing on other stuff.
They’ll all do it in their own time but you could always speak to gp for health visitor if you’re concerned to put your mind at ease x

I had the same concerns; she was screeching and giggling, making loud of noises but not babbling then one day out of nowhere she started babbling and hasn’t stopped since. It happened quickly and she was 8 months on the dot so I wouldn’t stress.

For anyone in a similar situation, I’d like to make and update from my post! my daughter is about to turn 11 months in 4 days and she just started babbling this week! She’s not consistent with it but shouts MA MA MA and BA BA BA 🤣 she was definitely focused on her motor skills. As soon as she mastered walking, she’s started babbling x
