Has anyone else recently seen that bottle prep machines are not recommended by the NHS because they cannot guarantee reaching temps of 70C? I’m seeing recalls of formula for things like botulism which granted are in the US but when googling noticed that brands like Kendamil also did recalls
A few years ago. I’m now worrying and am thinking I should boycott the Babmoov machine I use as it can’t actually give a specific reading as to what temp it gets to.

I had a prep machine with my first daughter and we had no problems at all. I also used it at the start with my march 25 baby. She didnt really take her bottles well with it compared to making it with boiled water. We switched to using the nuby rapid cool. But if the prep machine works well for you I would stick with it. Everyone will have differing opinions on it but as long as its cleaned regularly and descaled I dont see a problem with them

I’ve used my prep machine for all 3 of mine and it’s worked absolutely fine and I’ve had no issues
