I’ve always told my kids that all the presents are from Santa, but I’m not sure if I should start saying some are from me and Dad too. I’m just wondering what other mums think and do!

We do a mix of Santa and mommy/daddy

We do one decent sized/priced present from Santa then the rest are from mom & dad!

I’ve seen people do all presents from Santa, stocking only from Santa or one gift from Santa

We don't celebrate Christmas anymore for religious reasons but growing up only one from Santa and rest from mum and dad. There was always the question of why Santa gave the richer kids fancier gifts 😂 so I think it was really common in my area for only one to be from Santa

We do santa brings one to three presents it is always under the tree the rest are from us, so they understand the concept of money.

We say Father Christmas brings them but mummy and daddy paid for them.

No as that’s not the way my oh and I grew up doing. Stockings were from Santa including the obligatory orange.

I decided that when my son is old enough to understand, that we would do 1-2 small gifts from Santa. The rest from mom and dad. I don’t want my baby to go to school and talk about how Santa got him so many big gifts, knowing that some families can’t afford much. I dont want it to cause any other kids to feel badly if santa didn’t get them much, just because their family can’t afford it.

I’m raising my son on Santa not being real lol

When I grew up my parents always did one present from Santa and the rest from them, I’m going to do the same with my daughter when she’s old enough :)
They always said they sent the presents to Santa to get wrapped and delivered though x

So I tried this one year I wanted the kids to think that I got them something at the time my ex shut me down just make sure yall on the same page it wasn’t a problem but the tags were wrong lol thankfully they wasn’t reading that lol

We will give our little boy 1 present from Santa and the rest will be from us. I don't really want a fictional person taking all the credit. Especially with the cost of everything being so expensive.

any expensive gifts are from me/family members and the smaller ones and stockings are from santa. i don’t want him thinking santa gives special treatment to kids whose families who have more money if his friends don’t get big gifts or if we’re unable to get big gifts that year.

We do one small gift from Santa and the rest from us. We do this so if any kids aren’t as fortunate- they don’t wonder why Santa brought big gifts to some kids and not them.

The most we might do is a book from Santa and that's it. Maybe I'm weird, but I feel like it's good that the child knows who the gifts came from also in the case that later in life they have a less fortunate friend. We usually do a Santas Grotto anyway here in the UK and the price includes a small gift (usually a book) so that's the gift from Santa

We do two gifts from Santa and the stocking from Santa the rest are mom and dad

The presents are from us, Father Christmas keeps them safe until Christmas and delivers them for us 🎄

We do stockings from Santa and one gift. The main presents under the tree are from me because I work too damn hard each year to let an imaginary person take the credit and then upset other children at school because they didn’t get the latest tech or hundreds of gifts x

I haven’t really thought about what we’re going to do as my LO is only 4 months but when I believed still anything I saw I wanted when I was out my mam would buy it to “send to Santa” so I thought most the presents were from my mam but wrapped and delivered by Santa

Growing up, everything was from Father Christmas and I didn’t even question why my parents “never got me anything” 😂
Then when I had kids I said I’d do a mix so that the big man didn’t get all the credit… but kids can’t read tags and they don’t listen when they’re in an unwrapping frenzy so now everything is just from him 🫣🤪

We always have all our presents from Santa.

Imma tell my son that some r from mommy and daddy and some r from santa cuz i dont want him to think inly santa gets him gifts for Christmas but mommy and daddy get his aunt and cousins gift y cant mommy and daddy get me some too

One from Santa.. the rest from parents x

All presents from the big guy 🎅🏼

We plan on telling ours that mammy and daddy send Santa money for his presents. We were told that ourselves as children and it made us appreciate what we had and understand why some children didn't get many.

My hubby & l have always told my son the truth but he still believe in a Santa ..🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️ so we allowed him to enjoy his imagination/youth

Two or three are typically from Santa. We usually talk to our daughter friend’s parents prior to know how many will be from Santa as well. We don’t want any of the children to wonder why someone got a bunch from Santa and they only got a couple. The rest of the gifts are from us

My kids are close in age so now i do 1 joint present from santa for example last year they got a play kitchen but i still tell them mummy and daddy paid for it x

Thank you all for taking the time to comment! I’ve really enjoyed reading through everyone’s responses, it’s so nice to see how differently families approach it, and all the lovely traditions you’ve created around Christmas 🎄✨

I tell my son the stocking are from Santa and the rest are from me. Because I don’t want him going into school and making someone feel bad so say of Santa got me a switch and someone else got some socks and little bits people plus I want the credit. I worked hard and I want him to know I got him that stuff tbh my son is 9 so haven’t got much longer on the Santa front

We haven't started anything Santa related with our littles yet (they're two), but growing up my parents gave us each one “bigger” Santa gift, and the rest of the gifts were from my parents, siblings, and extended family. My grandpa wrote “Santa” on his envelopes, but we knew the 2 dollar bills were from grandpa. 😊
