Smear test due

I need to book mine after I have my 6 week checkup...at nearly 12 weeks pp 🙄 I'm not even thinking about it but also know it needs to be done

I had this with my first baby got the letter for my first cervical screening whilst pregnant so was advised wait 12 weeks post birth to book think it was closer to 20 weeks that I actually had the appointment. To be honest I built in up more in my head compared to how it was in reality. I had a second degree tear at birth so was dreading the thought of having it and it being uncomfortable but when I expressed my concerns she offered to try and use a smaller speculum if that would make me feel more comfortable and it was over in less than 2 minutes.

My dr said to me that you can have it from 3 months pp but if you don’t feel ready, then never be pressured into it. I was meant to have mine also but then fell pregnant with my second so mine is also long overdue. But if you and/or your body does not feel ready, then you can wait until you are. X

Mine was due but they won’t let me book until I am 3 months pp, even with a c section.

I was super nervous at first but then I thought if I go through labour then a smear test will be a breeze!
Only go when you are ready, don’t feel rushed into it right away x

You need to wait for 3 months after pp and then book. I had mine booked and they turned me down when I came to the gp

I’m having mine on 30th December as it was very overdue due to being pregnant. They make me feel sick and also it just feels weird someone being down there so soon after giving birth but it’s better to be safe so will suck it up for the few minutes it takes:)
