What are we doing now that our babies are pulling up on things?

My little dude has now learned how to pull himself up on objects. The other day I put him down in his crib for a second while I gave my cats medicine and looked over and he figured out how to pull himself up and stand in his crib. Im proud of him but also scared cause he has no idea how to get himself down and has almost toppled over multiple times. Additionally is anyone have a baby who is more interested in army crawling and standing than regular crawling? My baby still likes to army crawl over regular crawling. He will sometimes get himself on his knees than seem to start moving but he would rather get on his knees to stand over crawling. He doesn’t have much interest in putting himself into a sitting positions either unless we put him in it. He would much rather get into everything and go and grab anything he can rather than be stationary lol.

Hey mama, he won't hurt himself even if he does topple over in the crib. It's the safest place for him to learn. Yes, he may bonk his head and he may cry, but he's learning about body control and spacial recognition and each fall teaches his body how to fall properly, very soon he'll learn the bum drop no problem, and that's an important lesson for babies to learn so they can fall without getting hurt!

As a general rule, any fall from his own height or lower is probably not going to hurt him much, even on a hard floor. It's falls from height that can be a problem - off of couches or beds, or over the side of the crib, so keep an eye out for when he tries climbing!

My little guy is a tiny tornado. He’s been crawling and sitting himself up for well over a month (started army crawling the day after he turned 6 months). He’s been pulling himself to stand for about that long as well. This included the bathtub. He can stand up in his Cradlewise while it moves to yell for us in the night. He’s also crawling up the stairs and can climb on to his toddler chair. Apparently the other day he crawled over all of the scattered pieces of his nugget couch and on to his rocking horse (the kind with a seat and a back). He’s so fun now!

Falls, bumps and bruises are all part of the process! Unfortunately they will just continue through toddler hood. I swear my 3 year old son hits his head at least once a day

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
