Car is parked out on the street so I need to take baby out to the car with me, but it’s sooooo cold! How are you all keeping baby warm while deicing/warming the car?

Omg I was thinking this, this morning was freezing. To be honest she was in an all in one coat and a blanket and that’s the best I can do xx

I strap into car seat, leave hat on and double up with blanket until car has defrosted/warmed up and then heating on full wack. Take hat off when start driving and then extra blanket off when car has fully warmed up

I put the blanket on the heater so it warms up. I then put it on baby as we’re about to leave. I whack up the heating to high. Car warms up quite fast when we start driving.

Snow suit?

Hot water bottle on their seat with blanket over it 5 mins before you get into car. Then they'll be fine under the blanket ☺️ and then you take the hot water bottle for yourself BONUS

Is car seat in the house or do you leave it in the car?
Put baby in inside with a blanket, they really won't get that cold in the time it takes the car to warm up

Put a blanket over them until it warms up. Alternatively, you can strap them in and then put a coat on them backwards over the top until it warms up then take it off.

My sister always says about putting a hot water bottle in the car seat before putting them in there. I haven't done this yet as I keep forgetting.
Other than that I always take out a blanket that has been used inside so is already nice and warm. I use normal full size blankets so it's folded multiple times to keep my baby boy snuggly. X
Thanks everyone! Will just layer him up with hat and blankets xx
