Sweep or not to sweep?
Hi everyone
I am due my 40 week appointment tomorrow (I’ll be 39+6) and usually we don’t get offered a sweep until we are classed as ‘overdue’.
I’m thinking of asking for a sweep (if body is ready). Is this a good idea? I’m FTM and heard so many mixed reviews on whether to sweep or not!
Would be amazing if it gee’d baby up a bit 🤣

I had sweeps - I’m a FTM too, I still ended up being induced at 41+2 but the sweeps definitely made my cervix more favourable as each time I had one there were positive changes. I believe they made my induction shorter 🤞🏽 x
I had two sweeps, first started contractions within 12 hours & then after the second my waters broke within 4 hours. Uncomfortable but was worth it! I was 39+2 & due to induced the following day x
