8 week jabs

Bubba will probably get an upset tummy, possible temp so just keep checking bubba and they will probably be extra sleepy so lots of cuddles!

Give calpol as soon after the injections as possible, some people take it with them and give it immediately after. Then give it 4 hourly throughout the day (no more than 4 doses in a 24 hour period)
She might be a bit grizzly, off her feeds and more tired than usual

They get three lots of immunisations. a live one in the mouth which is the cause of temperature usually, and one in each leg.

They can can be really groggy and sleep more than usual, and have sore legs.

My son has his on Friday and I’ve made up a plan which is to give him calpol about 20 ish mins before we get there and then have a bottle ready on hand to give him while they are giving him his jabs and even if he does take it badly I can still comfort him an the bottle is comforting him aswell

they’ll give her a live one in her mouth which is done through a syringe and they advise you to wash your hands for 2 weeks after changing dirty nappies as it will come out in their poo. i was really nervous when my daughter had hers but she was fine. her legs may be abit red afterwards but just make sure to give her lots of cuddles and make sure her temperature is all good. we have a braun temperature thing and you scan it along their face. i hope this helps xx

My baby was groggy until her third dose of Calpol and then she was completely back to normal same day I just made sure I had nothing on all day and we just sat and cuddled until she felt better xx
