Calpol!

My baby luckily loves calpol but when he was on liquid antibiotics that tasted AWFUL, I’d use the little syringe and get it as far to the back of his mouth as I could and to the back of his throat so he can’t spit it out x

Could you not try teething powders or gels? I think i read that they are best or ibuprofen. My lo luckily will take any medication no problem as we made it a fun game when he was younger. Maybe you'll have more luck with powder on a spoon? Dissolves instantly so can't really be spat out?

There's also suppositories which a friend of mine had to use!

My girl much prefers nurofen and it’s actually better for teething. She wouldn’t take calpol either

Does little one have a dummy? We had to tease her with the dummy and then get the syringe in, we do that until the medicine is gone. My partner would hold her at a slight angle and I'd get the syringe in at the side of her mouth and then pop in the dummy after. It's not pleasant but it worked 🤞🏼

Mix into a yoghurt, works wonders. But for teething I’d use ibuprofen, so Nurofen or any child ibuprofen liquid medicine x

My LB used to be really bad and got himself in such a state, luckily he’s better now but still gets upset.
When it was really tough I had to put a big blob on his dummy and then give it to him quickly before it slipped off, slow way of doing it but was the only way for a while and it worked! 🤷‍♀️
