My 8 month old will not spend anytime on her tummy. Since she learned to roll both ways as soon as she’s on her tummy she rolls straight back. She also absolutely LOVES sitting and playing with her toys. The issue is she’s started launching herself forward to reach things so that her bum lifts off the floor and will rock but because she’s doing it from sitting her legs are still out in front of her. How do I help her figure out how to move her legs? She just ends up face planting!

My boy is the same as yours.
My first learnt to crawl from sitting, I didn't do anything he just figured it out himself.

My daughter does this too! I’m just thinking she will eventually get more confident and learn to crawl hopefully? I’ve noticed she has started to slightly bum shuffle when reaching for toys so could even skip the crawling stage 🤔
that’s good to know! At the moment it’s like she doesn’t realise she can weight-bear on her arms after a certain point and she just ends up face planting with her arms underneath her 😅 so funny watching their brains trying to figure it out isn’t it
I thought mine would start bum shuffling but she’s just opted for throwing herself forwards as far as she can go or just sitting there moaning it the toy she wants as if that will make it move 😂
