Christmas

How do I break the news to my kids that “Santa” can’t bring them any gifts this year? I hate the fact that I can not give my kids a good Christmas 😭. Please No Negativity.

I would look to see if you can sign them up for any toy drives and if school age sometimes their school counselors have resources. There’s always a way to keep the Christmas spirit alive visit lights, spend quality time together, watch movies. Sorry it’s a tough year for you 🫶🏻 best of luck

Please don’t feel bad. Shit happens but love, safety, comfort and you mean far more than gifts. I can’t remember what I got for Christmas a kid but can remember who showed up, memories we created and how I felt.

You can sometimes get free items from Facebook marketplace palce, face book free groups. Charity shops are worth looking at as well!
Or could make something ? Draw some pictures for them to colour in, bake some cookies, write a book about them, go look at some. Christmas lights. Watch a Christmas film.
If none of those work you could say: santas has a lot of kids around the world to take care of and sometimes he asks parents to be his helpers. This year he needs us to help in a different way so Christmas will be smaller but still full of love.

Or a letter from santa
🎅 Dear (insert names)

Ho ho ho! It’s Santa writing to you from the North Pole. The elves and I have been very busy, and your names are always on my Nice List — you have been kind, brave, and full of love this year. I am very proud of you.
I’m sending this special letter because I need your help.
This year, many families all around the world are having a hard time, and I have to spread the magic a little differently. Sometimes, instead of filling the sleigh with toys, I ask parents and children to make Christmas special in their own way — with love, with time together, and with the small traditions that matter most.
This is one of those years.
Now listen closely, because this part is important:
You did nothing wrong. Your parents did nothing wrong. This has nothing to do with being good or bad.
Sometimes the world just needs a little extra teamwork. And when

And when that happens, I trust your family more than you know.
Even though I may not bring presents this year, I will still be visiting, still watching over you, and still sprinkling Christmas magic all around your home. Magic isn’t about gifts — it’s about love, kindness, and the wonderful moments you share with the people who care about you.
So here is my Christmas wish for you:
Spend time together. Laugh together. Make memories. And remember that Christmas magic lives in your heart, not in my sleigh.
Thank you for being the amazing kids you are. I’ll be cheering for you all year long.
With all my love and the warmest Christmas wishes,
🎅 Santa Claus
