I was actually unknowingly pregnant on my wedding night and as Asians, bride and groom have to go to every table and cheers half a shot w each table…we had a 22 table wedding 😂💀 suffice to say, we were both drunk by the end lmao. A couple weeks later I found out I was pregnant at 8w, people thought we were hiding it from them and didn’t tell them until late- no. No symptoms no showing no nothing even at 8w just a lil bit of sore boobs that’s it. Baby was born fine just a lil small but I’m also petite so midwives shrugged off the fact that she was so small anyway, at the time I was a size 6 lol. No induction no ICU time she was born healthy hit all her milestones and did dance (ballet rap jazz acro) until she was 16. Alcohol only affects baby if mum is regularly drinking it when pregnant…a one timer i don’t think would affect much.

Mine was the birthday present I didn’t know I had - I must have been a week or so pregnant when very large amount of Prosecco were consumed. My baby is bright and engaging and all the doctors are impressed with his eye contact and development. Prolonged drinking during pregnancy damages their brains and other things, a few heavy nights before they are the size of a poppy seed isn’t going to do anything. Don’t give it another thought - just be excited for everything that is to come xx

The baby will be fine! I was drinking for the first 2 weeks and the doc said not to worry about it. I found out at 18 days pregnant, immediately stopped drinking and started a really good prenatal. My little boy is 2 now and perfect!

I did the same, went on a girls trip for a week and found out I was pregnant after we got back.

As far as I understand the science is the baby gets nutrients from the egg sac for a few weeks as it travels and settles in your uterus.
So alcohol isn’t being fed to the baby yet. But what it can do is decrease the chances the egg attaches to the uterus. Now this LARGELY has to do with your individual health, the health of the embryo and sperm. And from a science standpoint, we do not fully understand why and why not an egg will attach. There’s a lot of factors that haven’t been fully researched.

Your baby will be okay. I’m an adoptive mom. My baby was exposed in utero. So I’ve done a lot of research. Fetal alcohol syndrome is caused by heavy continued and late stage alcohol consumption. Please be kind to yourself. You are already caring for your baby like a wonderful mother. I’m wishing you an easy, healthy pregnancy and a safe birth for you both. 🧡

i found out it i was pregnant in early jan after getting absolutely wasted on christmas and new years 😂 my lil boy is 3 months now and absolutely no problems whatsoever! as long as you stop once you’re aware you’re pregnant there’s no shame x

Baby will be fine. Affects of alcohol. (Fetal alcohol syndrome) is not a factor at such an early point of development.

You can mention your concerns to your doc, but just another data point that both of my pregnancies I found out after a heavy night of drinking! Everything was absolutely fine. Congratulations!
