Babies in nursery- have you been able to send your child if they has lose stools caused by antibiotics?

I sent mine in with the same issue a week ago and explained it was antibiotics. They were fine with it thankfully. Defo don’t stop the antibiotics, always run the course. I did tell nursery before they accepted kiddo in. Good luck!

Thank you! The nursery has been wiped out with illnesses. He just had time off. Thought he would be fine but then the next week had a temp, he’s been fine in himself just snort and coughing but got a chest infection. He’s been on them since Friday but got lose stools. I don’t know if they will say he can’t go because they have too much illness but hopefully he will be ok, it’s not like every hour, but just lose when he does them 2-3 times 🙈x

My los nursery has a 24 hours off once starting antibiotics (even if had them before) after that they are fine and understand they can cause loose stools. Just let them know about the antibiotics, what they are for and if they need to give him any/when/how much. Generally nurseries are very understanding. Definitely don't stop the antibiotics as your lo needs them to get better
