2nd pregnancy and birth

I am slightly concerned for birth this time round... my first labour was very quick. Labour started mildly at 7pm, I got to hospital, was checked at at 3am and was 4cm dilated. My daughter was then born at 6:20am. I have read that the second time round is usually much quicker, shortening up to half the time. We don't live near family (at least 3 hour drive) and will need childcare for my daughter, although we may be moving before the birth if we can. I have raised this concern to my midwife but just looking for any advice from anyone who already has 2 children, how did your 2nd birth go compared to the first and how did you manage child care?

Could you consider a home birth? Wouldn't need Childcare, your little one could be involved? 😍
My first birth wasn't straight forward unfortunately but we were planning a home birth originally; surprisingly common x

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂đŸ„Č

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
