FIL at it again
I’m sorry I know this for mother in laws but I need to rant about my FIL. We saw my partner side today and went for a drink to the pub which i suggested to get out the house as it was cramped.
My LO birthday is coming up and he brought up that they now can see her and his words were ‘ I want to go for a meal on their birthday ‘ . I said I’m sorry but we don’t know what we are doing yet.
It’s always I want with him and if he don’t get his own way he has a strop
What can I do ????

I would just suggest seeing them the day before or after for a get together! It’s a bit much he assumes you will plan your Lo birthday around his wants however it’s nice still they want to celebrate your Lo!
I'd plan somthing not involving them and then tell them sorry we have plans
I spoke to my partner about it last night and he agrees and sees my point.
To make matters worse when they came up on Boxing Day, he looked up at our stockings and he said who’s is the C.. it’s our little boys who we lost at 18 days old and when his wife said it’s Cs name, he went ohhh..
I said to my partner his lucky I didn’t ask him to leave- only reason I bit my tongue was because my LO great grandma was at our house and she lives on the Isle of Wight
