Just need to vent: Christmas edition

It’s been a couple days since Christmas and I have had a lot on my mind and I was wondering if I’m wrong for feeling this way. This year in my family two babies were born my son 10 months and my little cousin who just turned one on the 20th. For us we do Christmas on the 24th. Well the kids were opening all the gift and I realized that my son got significantly less gifts than my little cousin. Now normally I won’t care however this year I have done a lot for everyone in my family I’ve thrown/ organized parties and photoshoot, done so many favors, etc and I feel like no one showed up for my son. I even sent a list of items he would use and everyone ignored it which caused him to get multiple double items with no receipts to return them. I know my son doesn’t know the difference but I’m scared this will become a yearly thing and i don’t know how to move forward. Any advice?

If you notice the same trend next year I say you slowly disappear. I have been doing so much for everyone over several years and this year with a new baby I can’t do it anymore. The effort I’ve put into people are not what me or my babies are getting so we’re slowly disappearing, less events, more “no” and when asked why I’m being “rude” simply letting them know that effort and the back and fourth is lacking. It does suck that their birthday is close as well but that shouldn’t affect making sure you guys feel welcome and included.
