Lining up toys

My son lines his toys up too not just vehicles almost anything blocks, tonies characters etc x

Yes, lines of everything everywhere specifically cars🤣 I was told by a HV it’s particularly typical of boys and she called it ‘early maths’, very normal x

I used to work in child development (years ago now) but this is very very normal behaviour, shows coordination! It’s a good skill a toddler to have… they learn to organise etc at 2 plus.. xx

Yes but only his cars. That or he lines them up next to each other all facing the same way. Not sure if he learnt him from me as that's how I tidy them away. Interesting about the early maths

Same. Our little guy lines everything up. Sometimes by colour or sizes. It’s very typical for this age.

Yes this can be normal to an extent it’s classed as a way of development called a schema but it depends on how obsessive they are over it. My son finds everything up but it’s very obsessive and my health visitor has told me that the way that he is not typical of his age x
