is this normal ?
My almost 6 month old is still only eating 3-4 ounces. he eats 7-8 bottles from midnight-midnight. once in a blue moon will he eat 5 oz. i always order him 5oz but he will only eat 3-4. When he woke up for the day it had been almost 5 hours since he last ate and he only ate 3 oz! He’s growing beautifully but i feel like he should be eating more at a time! We do puree around dinner time, but that’s about it for solid foods.

my baby eats about the same way. we do one puree at dinner time as well. i was told that breastmilk adapts it’s content for the baby’s age so they don’t have to increase the ounces as often as a baby would on formula
My 5 month old and eats the same way during the day. The way I look at it is by how many ounces he eats a day. Somedays he wakes up hungry and chugs 8 ounces and some times he drinks one. If he is happy and growing those are great signs he is satisfied.
If he is crying and fussy all the time or more than usual, I would bring it up on your 6 month appointment. I think it’s normal specially if you are doing solids now.

Average should be 24-32 oz a day, so if he is drinking 8 bottles of 3 oz then he’s getting the required amount! My LO (5 months) drinks 5 bottles of 5 oz a day. We haven’t started solids (or purées) yet.
