I’m currently admitted onto the antenatal ward I’ve been here since Friday where I had a scheduled induction they started with the pessary however it kept falling out so they left it out after it only being in for around 12 hours. When I had a cervical check I was 2cm and told that I could be moved to have my waters broken so they stopped all other induction methods and said to leave my body do it naturally. Unfortunately there’s been a huge delay moving me due to there not being enough space and staff so I’ve just been on the ward waiting. As of yesterday I’m now 3cm but still no broken waters and still no strong regular contractions I was told if I can get to 4cm by myself I can be moved onto the labour ward straight away so was looking for some help to try and speed this up now because I’m so fed up and it’s starting to stress me out which I know will only slow things down further.

With the first, I found that nothing really helped - sorry!!! But a long walk, calming bath with aromatherapy might do the trick

Anything to boost oxytocin, which is really hard in hospital. But your favourite tv shows / feel good films etc, listening to cosy music x

Will they let you go outside? My friend used the outdoor gym at the hospital and it worked really well but curb walking might also help?

Seems possibly crazy to say, but try having some sex or cuddling with your partner. Best of luck!!
