I didn’t find the ward that hot if I’m honest hun.! But everyone is to their own.! I guess you could take a small fan to be in the save side x

The labor ward was very hot! I didn’t take a fan but I did take a cooling facial mist! Definitely take lip balm. Lots of snacks. Hairbands, lots of maternity pads/pants for after. If you run out the ones they give you are awful! I was there 4 days as I was admitted to be induced due to pre eclampsia so I didn’t have enough stuff so had to send my husband home to get more bits. But you’re better to take too much then too little. X

I had my baby yesterday and found the labour/delivery ward was quite cold but the Folkestone Ward was really hot. Maybe pack for both scenarios just in case.

I had my baby on labour/delivery 3 weeks ago and they had a air con unit that they adjusted for me as requested then ended up on the singleton ward and we had a temp gage that we could adjust but we keep it at around 24 for baby to make sure he was warm enough. I would highly recommend lip balm and lots of maternity pants I found them the most comfortable and a few sets of pjs I went through 3 while there and I was only overnight discharged next morning way over packed as a first time mum and hardly used anything
