Reviews on Medela Swing Maxi Handsfree Double Electric

Any good reviews about this pump? Pls? Plan on using it when the baby won't latch. He latches every 2 hrs at home but I don't know how to breastfeed when we're out when we can only do the laid back position—the only position that works for us. I wish I could have him on cradle position but he just won't.

Is this okay for travelling, like being out for more than 6 hrs and I need to pump? How to clean it?

I have it and it’s really annoying because you have to carry the giant remote control thing around with you and it’s attached to both boob pumps with a very annoying wire… mine has also leaked a couple of times from the bottom of the milk cup and poured all down my body 😱😱😱

I agree with Claudia the round battery pack bit is heavy and the thin lanyard isnt comfy to wear it round your neck, that being said I did find the wire that connects to the bra cups was long enough so that I could put the battery pack bit in a pocket if it was large enough or I even wore a bum bag and put it in that when I was out and about.

I actually stopped using mine because of the above/portability/comfort issues and have since bought a momcozy one (about £50ish in argos) and it does seem much more portable and convenient, I only bought the single one (I have massive supply issues and my left produces nothing) but you can get doubles. I wouldnt worry about getting the newest model as I think they are all pretty similar. My friend has even tried cheap non branded ones from Amazon and found them to be really good too.

I brought some sterifeed bottles on amazon and I take one with me son once ive pumped i pour into bottle and put lid on to keep milk safe.

With the momcozy it comes with a white cover to clip on to pump when not using but I also take a sandwich bag and pop it in that in case of any milk residue then into my cool bag (where i also put the milk) once home I wash and sterilise it. At home i just put it in sandwich bag in fridge in-between uses and wash/sterilise it morning and night as ive read thats okay x
