Does anyone know if this is normal for a newborn or could signal something else? He is constantly putting his tongue out after feeding. He dribbles a fair bit and will sometimes spit up clear liquid which I think is just saliva.

He ready for more milk🥛

My bubba does this all the time, always has since birth, midwife said it’s normal, could be cues like hungry but also could just be exploring senses and playing

My baby boy also does this, started last week I think it’s normal. They are just discovering new things etc x

Definitely means he wants more milk! My son did this and it’s the same for my baby girl.

Try offering more breastmilk. He won't have it if it's something else. With ours it's an early hunger cue x

My little boy does this and I genuinely think it’s them just learning their senses etc or sometimes it could be that they’re hungry maybe but for us it’s deffo him learning senses etc

My first little girl did this quite a bit, it doesn’t always mean more milk, she had silent reflux and the tongue reflex was from the acidity of the feed

There isn’t a massive amount you can do for this sadly, we used to just keep her upright after feeds for a little while, bought some different bottles called dr browns but these helped more with the fact she was also really uncomfortable and changed her formula to a comfort one. She did eventually grow out of it around 10-12 weeks once her stomach matured and got used to more milk

My daughter does this when she wants to bring wind up or vomit. She has reflux

My boy does this when he’s gona be sick
