Chonky Babies

Hi All, my LO is 9 weeks and a healthy 15lbs! And 61cm! My arms and back are killing me during settling/rocking. Does anyone have any advice gadgets/tools/tips to take the strain off? I have already bought a wrist guard it is on its way!

Invest in a few dumbbells or a kettle bell. Adding exercise into your lifestyle should help and prepare for when they start to get heavier over time lol

Omg that is a heavy baby!! Yes a baby hip seat/hip stool will help you, it’s for carrying your baby around without a full carrier but I have also lay my baby on his side on top of it and he can feed and I rock him to sleep and it’s so much easier to hold him this way!

Following as my 7 week old is 14lb5oz as of Wednesday!! My back is in bits also 🤣🤣

13lbs 14oz 8 week old! Our backs, arms, shoulders are also in bits! You’re not alone!

Wow! I thought my boy was on the bigger side. He was born on 97 centile. But now 75th centile at 9 weeks!
13Ib 2oz weighed on Monday! 9 weeks yesterday.

I agree. However, light exercises currently. We are still healing. Don’t start anything intensive until 3 months PP!

Big bubs! My boy was 9Ib 8oz at birth, but has dropped centiles a bit. How lovely to have a chunky baby though 😍
