Is anyone else’s little one like this, so my little girl is becoming very very disruptive in nursery, she’s always been like that but recently it’s becoming worse, I think she has autism and adhd but because of her age the referral was denied, I’m honestly at my whits end, the doctors won’t listen to me, she’s like this even at home with attacking me constantly, having constant meltdowns, I just don’t know what else I’m supposed to do, I’ve tried telling professionals how she is, I’ve even shown proof, it was only 2 weeks ago after nursery she was having a meltdown and tried running infront of a truck, I’m struggling so so much with her behaviour, I’m a single parent and I just don’t know what else to do. I just wish the people I talk to about it would listen to me instead of denying me because of her age.

Hi, my little boy is autistic. Does your little one show any other autistic characteristics, eg. hand flapping, avoiding eye contact, food avoidance, non verbal, regressive behaviour?

There’s a lot to pick at from what you’ve said so feel free to drop me a private message. I’ll give you all the advice I can.

My boy is almost 4, I knew from 10 months he was different, he was in nursery from 10 months and we have been on the pathway to autism diagnosis since, we kept being told no, wait until he is 2 act, well we kept pushing and still waiting now at almost 4, but we have just received his echp and they recommend special school, honestly push push push, nursery should be your number one, my guy has had a sen tutor since he was 2 I think it was, no one listens at all and makes you feel like you are making it up, but I record all his behaviour, and show every health professional and, as a polite person, I get annoyed and show them and push, dont sit down and take it (not saying you are btw) but go the go and as for HV, psychologist referral, everything you can name!!
Even with all that's it's hard, we are struggling now still so I feel you so much xx

They shouldn't deny you over age. My son 4 end of May and his been referred to CDC for ADHD as all the signs are there. I cant trust him near roads as he do the same and run in front of cars if he could. He has a send plan at nursery and under the early years team till his in year 1
