hey mamas - at 6 months, we started combo feeding. the first formula we used was enfamil optimum. i was so turned off by the metallic smell, we switched to kendamill which tastes and smells like real milk. well we’re at the 9 month mark and i noticed that the enfamil optimum has lactoferrin and am now wondering if we should switch back for the lactoferrin benefits (on top of the fact that kendamill is has such strict preparation instructions). our pediatrician says it’s just marketing. how did you all pick a formula and stick with it?

I love Kendamil, I have to get the goat one for my baby
But I chose Kendamil because they’re held to EU standards. Our FDA is a joke in the US. There aren’t any corn syrups or Palm oil in Kendamil compared to Enfamil and my baby doesn’t spit up nearly as much on it

Never heated it, just used room temperature distilled water

I just use kendamil in normal water, every formula is supposed to be prepared in water above 80 degrees celsius to kill bacteria which could potentially be in formula- it is standard. But we have never done this with any of our formula.
