My LO has eczema and we usually use hydromol but I find it soo thick and it just doesnt soak into the skin.
I tried aveeno dermexa baby as it was recommended Thursday night after the bath & my LO had a small rash friday, which has now covered his belly, chest & back today.
Has anyones LO reacted badly to aveeno? Im just surprised as its an eczema range & has rave reviews x

Yes it contains oats and my bad skin blew up. Always patch test for few days.
Drought secret is good. Its expensive plus not miraculous as reviews states but it is very moisturising and helps with itch too

YES!!! My baby had spots on his face for months. His body went a little spotty red after I’d moisturised him after a bath but I assumed that was me rubbing him and the hot water as it would disappear quickly.
Went to GP, they wanted to rule out cmpa although they didn’t think it was this but didn’t know what else it would be. tried pepti 1, no improvement. Went onto Neocate, no improvement. Now awaiting allergy clinic.
I then switched him to QV from aveeno after he had a bad reaction on his face from it. And the spots went!
Now I have to carry on dairy free whilst we await allergy clinic but I’m so sure it was the aveeno, specifically the darker blue one xx

I use aveno dermexa and my girl gets a rash each time but it goes away super quickly after the bath. It doesnt do it for the cream 🤔 just the bath stuff x

Baby probably allergic to the oats in the dermexa. Our dermatologist said not to put anything on the skin that the child hasn’t yet eaten as they tend to then be allergic to it which I found to be true with my son.
I love hydromol for my son, it helped clear his eczema but you may have to go in a steroid treatment for a short while to clear your babies eczema if it’s bad or drought secret & balmonds is really good as well - I’ve tried both

We have tried all the different aveenos and the dark blue labelled aveeno was the one that worked well for us keeping eczema at bay and the skin moisturised.

A lot of creams have lots of potentially irritating ingredients unfortunately even when they state they’re sensitive or eczema creams.
Best to take it back to fully natural with a brand like Drought Secret, the Green People or Tesco also do a fully natural baby balm.

My little one reacted to Aveeno as well. With him it's the oat. A lot of eczema products has oats in them that can react with them. I'm still trying to find a product that will work 🫠

Try these natural balms. They were created to cure the founders’ daughter’s eczema and they have a deal right now https://www.drpawpaw.com/valentines-bundle
