Breech baby

Had a 36 week growth scan and just found out baby is breech after being head down since 28 weeks - honestly was not the news I wanted or expected to hear.

The midwife said realistically I’ve only got a week or so to try and flip him around otherwise it’s looking like a c-section.

Any tips or experiences with successful ECVs?

Mine decided since 28 weeks to stay in the breech position ever since… our 36 week scan confirmed she still hasn’t moved… I’m booked in for an ECV this Friday to try and flip her. 🤞I’d like to have a natural birth but if she doesn’t flip or move by herself by due date I’ll also be booked in for a C section. I’ve tried the tips of stretches, being bend at an angle 📐 hot cold treatment but no luck. Have a look at spinning babies on YouTube for exercises to help encourage baby to move 😊

Spinning babies is brilliant, forward inverted lean made me feel very light headed so try and do with someone nearby but it definitely works xx

Hi all. I am in the same boat. My little one seems to have been in the same position since week 20. I am very worried about trying ECV because of the risks. Been trying everything else, like spinning baby’s and Moxibustion. But I am still yet to find someone who said it worked. Please keep us posted on your ECV. Would really like to hear more about your experience.
