can infant gaviscon cause diarrhoea,
Hi my 5 week old started on gaviscon Thursday. It's worked wonders on the reflux, but she had a diarrhoea poo today this morning Saturday.
Also since early hours of Friday she started with a congested and bit of runny nose. Could the diarrhoea be linked to that instead of the gaviscon?

My 8 week old had gaviscon infant and we was advised by doctors to stop taking it as it was causing constipation and he was having really bad stomach pain so it is possible the diarrhoea as a after affect x
We are on Carobel but moving to gaviscon today after seeing the GP yesterday. We have really runny poos at the moment which he’s said can be reflux med related as she is constipated but is forcing the poo so much that it is coming out as diarrhoea and once we correct the reflux with the right treatment that doesn’t make her constipated then those poos will become normal.
I was given infant gaviscon for my little one and was advised to only put half a sachet in and see how he went with that as it caused constipation x
Im gonna stop giving her gaviscon and call gp monday as had another diarrhoea poo
