"Family First"
I feel like the Army tells you this to make it all seem good, but when in reality they really don't gafff. Whether it's Dr appts, vacations, birthdays, etc. They don't care. Every year since 2022 they go to JRTC for an entire month in May. Mother's Day... we stay home with our kids every day for them to go to work and we cant even have our spouses on the 1 day that's meant to celebrate us?? I have celebrated 1 mothers when my first was 8mo... ever since hes been gone every year. Why? And not to mention it's our anniversary month too... idk I'm just here to rant because there's nothing i can do anyway 🫠😔 I know I'm not the only one that feels this way but we just stay quiet because who are we arguing with 😂😂 the government lol ughhhh rant over

My favorite saying is “if the military wanted you to have a family they would’ve issued you one” however it’s unit dependent. We’re in an amazing unit where we are and they’ve let him off for birthdays, appts, etc and they also let everyone off no later than 3 on fridays
😩 I feel this. My hubby didn't even take paternity leave for my first cuz he was just starting an officer's course at the same time. And now, 3 years later, I'm preggo again and I've felt so alone the whole time cuz his work is so consuming, early mornings + late nights. My tot and I only get to spend time with him on Saturdays. 🫠 *sigh*
