Hey. I had my little girl via elective section three days ago with no expected complications. Unfortunately, immediately after surgery I felt unwell, my blood pressure went high and I ended up having a seizure. The doctors think it’s an eclampic fit which was brought on by one of the meds administered during the c section which caused my blood pressure to rise.

I’m feeling ok now physically but mentally quite anxious. Just wondering how long it took you to recover? My blood pressure has stabilised now but I’m so anxious about going home and becoming unwell again :(

Worry but just enjoy your time with your baby as time goes too quick. Lots of walks with baby when you are ready too as I feel walking helps refresh my mind and gets you out the house.

Hope that helps and anytime you need a chat, I'm here 🙂 x

Aww bless you. Sounds like you had a really traumatic time too.
Unfortunately I’ve ended up back in hospital. I was initially discharged on Saturday night but the community midwife visited yesterday and my BP was slightly elevated so hospital said to come in. It continued to elevate but after a couple of different meds, it eventually came down but I could feel myself starting to panic and worry about having more seizures.

I don’t know anyone else who’s developed eclampsia. I’d really appreciate chatting to you if you’re happy to as you can obviously relate to how I’m feeling x

Yeah it really was 😢 only seems like yesterday but I can't believe it's been 16 months. It's flown. Oh really, aww bless you. Just drink lots of water and make sure you eat, that's what the hospital said to me. Even though they all tell you different things.

Can I ask what your blood pressure was? Mine still goes abit high. I'm finding myself checking it again recently. It drives me mad but it plays with your mind.

Yeah I know what you mean, any little thing and you think something is going to happen! Try to be calm and think of nice things, easier said then done, I know!

Is this your first baby?

Of course, it's good to chat to others that have been through the same, I think it helps. I don't know anyone either that has suffered eclampsia only pre but not like the seizures and stuff x

Hey!
I had Eclampsia with my 2nd son in 2015 and had twins after in 2018. I currently share how I navigated it in my new app launching soon. Follow the story here https://www.instagram.com/reel/DYAf_9QSbR2/?igsh=MW9idmV6Y3phbm93OA==

Stressed and worried.

I’m 9 months post partum and a couple weeks ago I found out I’m pregnant with my second. I’m 6 weeks pregnant and have had high blood pressure since I’ve been checking the last 4 days. I had preeclampsia at the very end of my first pregnancy and for a few months after had dangerously high blood pressure and was put on medication. I guess I’m just worried about this pregnancy already cause I’m so early with very high blood pressure constantly. Im sure stressing about it isn’t helping. But there’s not much else I can do besides try to talk to my OB about it. Just worried I’ll be dismissed and told I’m fine.

Is anyone actually enjoying pregnancy ?

So this is my first baby (probably my last too cause wth😭) and omg, the road has been long. I wouldn’t say I’ve enjoyed any part of it but I also feel very ungrateful for complaining. I see these other pregnant women on TikTok and it seems like they are having a blast. Like how does someone even have more than 2 kids??

First pregnancy!

I’m nearly 5 weeks pregnant with my first baby! I never realised how hard this part of pregnancy is. Just having the test, no one around you knowing, living anxious constantly and the exhaustion wow!!!

Hi ladies, anyone got any idea on the nub theory? This is our 12 week scan - and will be officially finding out gender at the end of October. So excited to find out if we will be adding another boy or girly to our rapidly growing family ✨
