I am new to this, having had my first gallbladder attack on Wednesday. Feels like my life has turned upside down overnight! I’ve had no advice on what to eat other than low fat. But everything has fat apart from veggies! I’m breastfeeding so trying to figure out how to nourish the two of us. Slightly terrified of eating anything. Does anyone have any tips on good meal ideas? I’m struggling.

I was breastfeeding too when I got diagnosed. I was worried like you to eat, I lost so much weight because of it and mum guilt when it came to not knowing if my little one was getting enough milk! I stuck to stuff like chicken, turkey steaks, tuna, fish, pasta rice etc

Thank you so much x

I have had 3 attacks. Currently 25.5 weeks pregnant! The times I had attacks I ate: pizza, very creamy soup, and lots of cookies.
I eat avocado and/or peanut butter almost daily and it has not affected me at all! But I slowly introduced that.
The first 2 weeks after my 1st attack, I ate grilled chicken, broccoli and sweet potatoes for dinner.. protein pancakes with no butter for breakfast and fatree yogurt with lots lots of fruit for lunch. Then I started incorporating more to see what I could handle
…then I went a little crazy 2 times and had those attacks. But right now, I am eating MOSTLY normal foods (not fun foods like pizza, donuts and nachos) but normal and healthy food without feeling TOO restricted. I hope this helps
