Driving post operation

I am due to have my gallbladder out on Friday! I am so scared 😩

I have minimal help at home & I have a 2.5 year old & a 4 month old. My partner can take a few days off work, but after that it is just me!

Anybody have any tips or recovery stories?

Also, how long did you not drive for?

I have had two c-sections and I found recovery pretty easy with them both. But I just feel petrified for this operation even though I assume as it is keyhole, that is is much less invasive!

Meal ideas

I am new to this, having had my first gallbladder attack on Wednesday. Feels like my life has turned upside down overnight! I’ve had no advice on what to eat other than low fat. But everything has fat apart from veggies! I’m breastfeeding so trying to figure out how to nourish the two of us. Slightly terrified of eating anything. Does anyone have any tips on good meal ideas? I’m struggling.

Consultant appointment tomorrow

Hey everyone, after having a huge increase in symptoms I have been able to get in to see the consultants as an emergency and have my appointment tomorrow. I also have had and needed treatment for birth trauma after an emergency c section (sep 24) so anything medical feels really scary. Do we generally recommend getting surgery for gallbladder removal? I feel like I've seen some horror stories where people feel worse after removal is this common?! I am uncomfortable and in pain 99% of the time but I'm so anxious.

Symptoms worsening

I need some help and reassurance!

I have been diagnosed with gallstones post partum and been referred for surgery. On referral my symptoms were really minimal, but over the last 2 weeks things have gotten crazy worse. I'm having issues daily, not able to sleep and struggling to eat and feel sick all of the time. I've asked my GP to change my referral to urgent which they have done now. But has anyone had any experience of gallstones causing something else like pancreatitis? How do I know when something more is happening? Why is it suddenly SO awful!
