House work

Hi, I’m a 3 week postpartum mom with 2 other children ages 6 & 7. I feel like the housework is just growing and it’s hard for me to get anything done with a Velcro baby that won’t let me leave her side. I swear she smells when I leave the room. Cleaning and doing house chores feel impossible and it’s becoming overwhelming. When I try to get things done, plans always get changed then I end up not having the time to do anything. My baby cluster feeds at night so I rarely get sleep. And of course everyone says sleep when your baby sleeps so I MIGHT get a nap in everyday, sometimes I don’t. My partner is rarely home to help. What advice do you guys have cuz I feel like PPD is slowly creeping up on me and idk what to do.

I'm sorry you're going though this I'm just 2 weeks postpartum and I delegate lol my kids pick up the toy messes, help load and unload the dishwasher, sometimes vacuum, sort laundry ecet. Not in one day mind you but a task or 2 a day is just fine

Hey lady ! My daughter is now 16months old but she was very very much on my hip 24/7 I would baby wear all the time to be able to get some things done around the house. I also would sleep with her when I could. I wouldnt stress to much on getting a lot done right now just do the necessities if possible. You have to remember you just had the baby so relax give yourself some grace and enjoy this precious moments. When the baby is napping either nap with or take a shower or whatever other chore you need to do that you cant with them. If you have family or friend ls near by dont hesitate to ask them if they can help you possibly?

I agree maybe try having the older kids help with simple things like the dishes/laundry/sweeping etc.
And maybe they could even help with the baby (hold while sitting or simple "play" on the floor, wet diaper changes or bottle feeds if used),
definitely try baby wearing during tasks and try showering with baby too
Maybe if everyone can be in one room and the kids are busy, the baby's in a safe spot, and you're right there, you can fit in a quick power nap
