Morbid question...

Has anyone created a will? We want to find a lawyer to create a will for us so that we make sure our daughter goes to the people we want her to go to if the worst should happen so we're looking for recommendations.

PM LAW | PRESTON MADDOUX LLC in clackamas. They helped my with setting up a trust with a pour over will to have my kids set. I suggest reaching out to them to see if they can assist you with your specific situation?

You should absolutely complete your estate planning documents! I had my initial simple will package executed before having my first baby, to insure my wishes are expressed, but a year later we actually opted to do Revocable Living Trust package as we have some assets that in the state we live in will have to be distributed through probate court should we both pass away. (The process may take up to a year to be finalized and the estate has to pay attorneys fees) This is what the will is for. It’s basically instructions to court how you wish your assets to be distributed and who would you like to act as Guardian/Conservator for your children. Keep in mind, your nomination does not GRANT the appointment. Most courts end up appointing people you wanted as long as they meet courts requirements to serve as such.
I would definitely met with an attorney in your state to discuss your options. You can always do I will online but see if you can at least have a consult first
