This sounds like such a stupid question but my little girl has her first proper cough and it’s worrying me and her dad. We’ve gone down the RSV rabbit hole and we really shouldn’t have. I know it more than likely isn’t RSV and we are fully overthinking it but it’s a worry. She’s got a snotty nose as well but you’d not think she was unwell just looking at her she’s been smiley and happy but still up and down.
When should I worry about getting her to the doctors?

I’ve not read up on it in a while so definitely fact check me but I believe a sign of RSV would be the chest compressing ALOT with each breath baby is taking. And temperature? There will definitely be information online about how to spot the difference xx

You will notice a change in her breathing, you will see her tummy sucking in. But tbh I would always say if you have any concern just get her checked out. Nothing better than peace of mind!

My first had RSV when he was 18 months and he was ill! He had a temp of almost 40, we ended up in A&E. He also has viral induced wheezing so he was breathing quite bad too. Obviously keep an eye on her and watch her breathing.
My 6 month old has had quite a few coughs and the signs I would definitely look out for are temp and breathing
