15 month old has been at nursery since January, 3 mornings a week.
We’ve all been ill with one thing or another since January! I’m currently ill with a viral thing like flu with both ends!
When does it start to improve? We’re sick of being sick! So much for our adult immune systems! 😩

I hate to tell you, but it doesn't really stop until they're school age (6-7ish)- toddlers are just germy and they lack basic hygiene etiquette like covering your coughs/sneezes so when you put them all in a group they tend to just pass things back and forth.

It doesn’t end… lol. My baby has been in daycare for a year and she’s had everything. 3 hospital visits too. It’s so fuckin hard. But… I hear it’s worth it when she starts school and won’t have absences with her immunity built up! Best of luck! I feel you!!!

This time was hell for us to. My daughter started nursery at 3.5 years. We'd not been around alot of children before that other than my nieces and nephew who were all younger and not in child care either and we were only around them max 2 days a month due to living far away. My daughter was barely at nursery cos she always had something. I have a compromised immune system so I'd catch it anf sometimes wed pass illnesses back and forth because I'd be sick for 10 times longer than most people would.
The same happened at the start of school. Shes now in year 3 and her attendance has improved year by year. She does get sick as bad or for as long and alot of the time now ill hear illnesses going around and be dreading it byt she wont get it. So despite the hell we went through for years I fully believe thay her immune system is now great because of it.
My son is 18 months and he was catching things as a baby and it was so bad he'd end up in hospital but the last few colds hes had have barely effected him.

It will end, it will be worth it in a way. But it is so so hard and feels like it wont ever end. Just remember every illness makes them stronger in a way.
Little tip I wish id thought of when my daughter was younger. We have an illness caddy 🤣 its literally a nappy caddy we keep with everything we need for a cold/flu/tummy bug ect and just whip it out when it starts 🤣 tissues, saline solution, calpol, nurofen, anti bac hand wipes, vicks, hot water bottle ect. I promise you'll get alot of use out of it 🤣 I hope you all get through it soon 💕

Sorry, but in my experience it doesn’t. I’m currently an elementary school teacher but I was a middle school teacher before that. The only years I didn’t get multiple illnesses from students were the years we were remote and then fully masked in person. I highly recommend all flu shots and any other vaccines you qualify for, and adding echinacea and other herbal remedies can also help! During the winter months I also add on a vitamin c supplement, either a pill form or something like Emergen-C.

They’re literally Petri dishes !!! Feel better soon 🫂
