Baby classes

Anyone else’s August baby their second and not got round to starting baby classes yet? 🫣 With my first boy we started them when he was 4 months old, he did three classes a week and so many things with him.
He was never easy though tbh so I just had to get out the house with him so it was absolutely for my own sanity too 😂
But with my second he’s such a dream, such a happy chilled baby that when my oldest who’s 3 is in nursery for his 3 days a week I just enjoy pottering about or being home with baby. Anyone else the same? The mum guilts are starting to kick in 🙈

Tbf this is my first baby, and I love doing the same! At first I just did not have the energy to go anywhere, but now we kind of have our own routines and walking places, etc. my personal belief is that they are still so so small, and we will have plenty of opportunity to introduce all kinds of activities later, plus they will have to socialise at nursery, etc. I think it’s OK to enjoy this only time that you’ll have as a little duo xx

I’m in the same position and I’m exactly the same x

This is my first and I haven’t taken him to anything yet! I feel terrible but they’re all so early in the morning and usually when he’s due a nap 😬

Take the pressure off!!!! If you've been happy at home in Winter, you're winning. Spring is round the corner so step out slowly and enjoy what new things are on their way 🌸🌼🪻

Same for us! My 2yo is at nursery 2x a week so them 2 days I love days in just me and baby! We are at soft plays / park / anywhere the other 3 week days so I feel like it’s enough without doing the baby classes x

This is my first and we done one class and I decided I really couldn’t be bothered. My son is quite content playing at home, I will stay swimming soon though!

We’ve been the same! Started our first baby class today. Mainly because I’ve got friends with their babies and we’re doing it altogether.

thoughts…

it’s my birthday in a few weeks and i’ve just found out my partner has bought me some lingerie… a few years ago this would have been fine, except i’ve just had 3 babies in 16 months (singleton and twins) and im currently 8 weeks postpartum… i currently hate how my body looks and know i won’t want to wear anything like it.
i’ve also recently discovered he is watching porn and pleasuring himself nearly every day… this isn’t something i would normally mind, but i think the frequency he is doing it makes me feel “icky”. it feels like he’s bought me the underwear to make me more appealing to him, without thinking about whether it would be something i’d want.

am i just being overly sensitive..?

Don't know what to do

Hey im a first time mom to my baby girl. she is 20 days old and last night was up most the night. I've had 2 hours sleep total im so tired but she won't sleep at all. She will wake up and have some of a bottle and then when I put her down after burping her she will start crying half an hour later for more. She's on 6 ounces of hungry baby formula. Im just not sure why this is happening. Could it be sleep regression?

Sleeping bags

My newborn hates a swaddle of the love to dream swaddle. So was thinking of a sleeping bag.

What tog do you have your baby in that is always a warm baby, rarely cold?
My girl runs hot all the time and normally has a thin blanket on but she is constantly moving so it gets kicked off

Breastfeeding past 12 months

Guys im getting irritated. Ive been ebf now 8 months and my mum keeps saying in diff ways that “oh ur mummys gonna wean you off the breast soon” when shes 12 months.

And today shes telling me you cant breastfeed past 12 months.

And when i said i am going to and want to reach at least 2 years. Shes not saying “oh so u wanna breastfeed till 5”

Like what?

And then she’s saying because i still have baby weight i should go on manjaro. But obvs cant do that while breastfeeding.

So cant you still loose weight while breastfeeding past 12 months through diet and exercise?

Is anyone else’s family saying this about breastfeeding past 12 months? My mums just making me feel like im doing something wrong.

Is it not normal? I feel just annoyed because this is my baby and if im good with still breastfeeding her and if she still wants to breastfeed why should i stop.

How does breastfeeding past 12 months look like ?

Thank you! My rants over💗💗

Dummy removal cold turkey at 8m

My LO (8 months) wakes constantly, hourly sometimes because she needs the dummy. I wouldn’t even mind if I had to just reinsert it. But if it falls out she wakes and will escalate until I hold her. Depends on it strongly to fall asleep. Even holding her I need to give her the dummy. Takes ages to get her back in cot. This is all night. I’m so sleep deprived and can’t function. I’m considering removing cold turkey. Any advice ??? Is this the right thing to do

Wake window ideas

Hi All my LO is 9.5 weeks, sleeps really well at night (a 5-7 hour stretch, followed by a 3-4 hour) but that means she is awake lots in the day, she’ll have 30-40 minute naps and is wide awake 1.5-2 hours at a time, before I can even think about trying to get her back to sleep.
I’m just looking for age appropriate wake window ideas, she hates lying under her baby gym, she’ll do probably max 10 mins a day, we do tummy time, but again she’s not a fan. She loves just sitting and chatting with me face to face and reading books, we probably read 6 a day.
I’m open to all ideas please
