So we will hopefully be going on holiday this summer and my baby is combi fed, bottles day and breast at night so I will have to take/make bottles at the airport and on the flight, can anyone recommend the best/easiest way of doing this. I will buy formula abroad but I’m wondering how to warm the milk if I take small pre-made bottles with me or if there’s an easier way?
My first was EBF till 15 months so never had to think of this 😂

I took my daughter when she was 7 months then again when she was 1 and still having milk, basically I put formula in hand luggage and one in hold incase anything happened with luggage. I then took a flask just empty and filled it up in the airport if you ask they’re usually more than happy to fill it at a coffee shop/restaurant. For the actual flight I took my rapid cool and formula pots pre measured out the formula for on the flight to stop extra added stress of trying to count them out, I never had an issue with any of it, they do a quick check of the formula and rapid cool to ensure it’s definitely what it is but it was pretty easy getting through without any issues. I would just make sure if buying abroad that your baby will accept the formula. I did think of taking pre made bottles but my daughter didn’t like cold milk and just thought it would be more of a hassle/safety issue if I was trying do it on the flight. I have the nuby rapid cool, tommee tippee thermal flask which

I sterilised multiple bottles before we left for the airport, I also made sure to feed her before we left so I knew she would be ok for 3/4hrs for queueing/security, I took more than I needed I’m sure I took 5 incase of delays etc but that did us the holiday. We were quite lucky in the sense it’s only around a 30 min journey to the airport. We use mam bottles and they sterilise for 48hrs as long as you don’t use them. When we were away I bought a large bottle of water and took Milton sterilising tablets also bought a large tub to put the bottles in, we were lucky to have a kettle so I used boiling water to clean them and just bought a washing up liquid over there it was cheap. At the end of every day I just cleaned and sterilised them over night so they were ready for the next day. In terms of making them up we had the kettle, if you don’t have one you could ask reception if they have one or I’m sure they’d be willing to fill up your flask x
