Post c section

Hi all,

I had an emergency c section 10 days ago now but I have been having really bad back and chest pain when I’m stood up for a few minutes and if I’m on my side? I mentioned it to the midwife and she said just to monitor it. However, I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this pain before and if it’s normal because to me I’m scared 😂. Nothing seems to settle it either

I think it’s normal after abdominal surgery. It’s just your body holding on to excess gas

With my first (sept 2024 baby) I had the same and constantly holding her wasn’t helping the situation but she was a Velcro baby 🫠🤣 once it got to the point where washing bottles at the sink was an issue I went to the doctors who referred for physio. I’m guessing the back pain is pretty normal afterwards but not sure on chest pain? Definitely monitor it and when it comes/goes if it does as I only get it when I’m stressed if it still carries on in about a week bring it up again with a gp maybe?

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
