Biting

Could be in teething pain? Has he got lots of other things to bite down on? Or does he feed from the boob n do it when he's lazy/tired?

It’s very common! All babies do it but at 8 months they won’t understand you when you tell them no biting yet. My 2 and a half year old also still bites himself and me but doing it more than before, it’s completely normal

Mine bit me. I yelled ouch! Put her down and firmly said no. It worked.

If 'no' alone doesn't work, make sure you try again, stop the feed for a few minutes, and that should work. And try not to show a reaction on your face when it happens (I know, easier said thsn done). Otherwise, they think it's play.
