Hiya!
My daughter has started getting eczema on her face and legs, I’ve been the doctors they prescribed steroids, it takes it away but then comes back and I don’t want to keep using it on her skin, they have currently prescribed me zero double cream, we’re on the first day using it and I really hope it works and calms it down, the doctor said to give her vitamin D and build her immune system up, has anyone else had a similar situation? And if so what vitamins did you give your little ones and what creams worked best? What did you use at bath time? Thank you!

I’m no doctor but I find the rings here unusual/ did the dr entertain the idea of it being fungal?
I recently had my own rash in pregnancy that presents fairly eczema like, but was put down to an allergy - and I’d been using lots of emollient cream/ was prescribed a steroid cream - however I’ve recently tried an antifungal cream and it’s finally disappearing. So just sharing as an avenue to try if it is stubborn (with dr/pharmacist recommendations of suitable cream for a little one ofcourse)

My little one is the same! Once the steroid cream is finished it goes to how it was before 🫠 GP refused to see him the other day so had to go to urgent care as it was almost blistering…
Doctor we saw said her kids suffered and she recommended bath twice a day, we have cetraben out of the bath, zeroderm in the bath, steroid cream again and antihistamines to help reduce the scratching/irritation. Honestly I feel for you, it’s been rough but weirdly I have found that the bath twice a day is helping to soothe little one (I know others say differently) just personal experience at the moment but I hope it gets better for you all ☺️ x

The only things that worked for my boy was completely cutting out dairy and soy products as they inflame eczema even more so as well as making sure he didn’t eat any of that whilst starting solids I had to cut it out of my diet too as I breastfed him. We slowly reintroduced them after he turned a year old

put a lot of moisturiser such as cetraben and then vaseline to lock in the moisture!! iit will go the next day.
