Nanny, Childminder, Nursery etc
For those that need these services after maternity leave, how are you getting on? We are really struggling!
Think we've ruled out nurseries for LO as he'll only be 8mths when I go back full time. Struggling to connect with Childminder or seen a couple i don't fancy...or they can only offer bits of the week. Is there a special place people go to find good set ups (or affordable nanny care)?

I tried ofsted search and childcare.co.uk (nothing special also struggling )
The only way it will be affordable is if they offer the funded hours. I’m not sure whether that applies to nannies or if it’s just for nurseries and childminders.
We thought about getting an au pair, but even that has now become prohibitively expensive because you have to pay minimum wage — it’s no longer just pocket money — and also provide full board (and covering bills and groceries for an extra adult is not insignificant).
