Has anyone booked turkey this year for a holiday - with everything on the news I don’t know whether it’s best to avoid or if I’m being anxious for no reason. The area we were looking at is far from the areas that are of concern. Has anyone been recently?

If you are heading to a tourist area then you should be fine. Turkey always has a high risk of terrorism not withsatnding current situation (location, political stance and ongoing war with Kurds). It’s more risky in large cities and close to boarders. Follow gov travel advice. Having said that we have been multiple times to the major cities and had a great time and felt safe.
