Transitioning to cows milk

I’ve actually decided to cold turkey formula as I had ran out and go straight to cows milk today.. gave my daughter her first cows milk bottle this afternoon and she didn’t react to the taste and literally drank the lot no problems 😂 x

My son has been on cows milk 2weeks now he will be one next Saturday and he has been absolutely fine with the transition

I introduced it just after 11 months. Adding 1-2oz to her bottle daily mixed with formula but she definitely hasn’t noticed! Think we’d be ok giving more 😊

Cold turkey as ran out of powder and didn’t see the point getting more formula for a couple day x

Will intro tomorrow cold turkey from formula but still have breast feeds - 2 weeks till he turns 1

Started today and my son is 1 in 1.5 weeks

I started last weekend (LG is just over 11 months)

I’m leaving formula the same & in her normal bottle, but introducing an extra ounce of cows milk in her new straw cup at each feed. This is to get her used to both the taste & the cup. Then hopefully by around 12 months she’ll be good with both & I can fully transition her.

If not we’re happy to do a mix of formula & cows milk for a bit but I want it to be in her new cup so there’s no confusion as I want her off the bottles asap ideally as they can affect teeth & speech etc if used past 12 months

i am not going to give him cows milk. i plan on giving him breast milk for min 2 yrs

I started my daughter transitioning to cows milk last week as she’s so fussy with milk. She’s always been bottle fed but with breast milk and I tried to introduce formula and she would literally spit it out 😂 she’s doing well so far with cows milk tho so fingers crossed lol xx

Not tried my little one with cows milk, shes only had breast milk from day 1. However she loves her yoghurt made from cows milk and is fine with it, I use plain natural yoghurt and flavour it myself with fruits and veg. She loves frozen yogurt drops too. Blueberry + banana is one great combination, but we also do apple and spinach, good way to get the greens in!
