My little one has had silent reflux since around 5 weeks old and is now 10 weeks, he got prescribed gaviscon which he has been on for 5 weeks which didn't seem to make much difference, now been prescribed anti reflux milk around 3 weeks ago, he still seems in pain and unsettled also is really uncomfortable being on his back always needs to be upright it's such a shame for him, anyone else's little one had any success with anything else for reflux?

Have you seen an osteopath? Helped a ton my little one

I would be asking the Dr for omeprazole (liquid form). Massively helped my first born and LG who is now 11 weeks x

My little girl is 8 weeks has the same, gaviscon helped the spit up, Omeprazole helped a little but then still crying so much in pain daily and she has now had 2 appointments with an osteopath and she is improving so much! X

An osteopath basically does a special ‘massage’ for baby it releases a lot in the body and helps them be more comfortable. I believe it’s really helping my 8 week old and definitely worth a go xx

I would go back to the GP and ask for Omeprazole they always prescribe gaviscon first as it’s cheaper, you can get Omeprazole in liquid form or a dispersible tablet 🙂

HIPP anti reflux milk, game changer

My little boy is also 10 weeks, he was prescribed gaviscon but this made him constipated and he found it incredibly hard to take as he is EBF, so he had to take 15ml of gaviscon with essentially every feed. He has now been prescribed omeprazole which is 2ml a day for his weight, only a couple days in with it but it seems to be working better for him than the gaviscon, so maybe something to suggest to the GP for you little one
