Allergic Reaction..

Hey mamas I had the biggest scare of my life today I thought I almost lost my baby girl 💔😭So this morning I was making an important call and my baby was on the bed giggling and playing. She’s at the age right now (five months) where she grab things around her and put it in her mouth just exploring
Well one of the things she grabbed this morning was my toddlers sippy cup that had about 1 ounce of ripple milk plant based in it since that’s what my toddler drinks
When I looked back she literally had the nipple in her mouth and a little bit went in her mouth and some around her neck and chest. I immediately took it away and picked her up and at first, I didn’t think nothing of it. I was like OK it was just a little bit she should be fine. Literally within minutes when I was wiping her I noticed all these bumps and hives on her neck and chest. They really scared me and I started to get worried, but what really scared me was that she was starting to act like lethargic, but I still didn’t have an understanding of what was going on
I woke my son up and told him “I’m calling an uber I think Nene is having an allergic reaction something is wrong” but then I started panicking really bad out of no where and said “ima call 911”
I was crying, shaking my baby wasn’t being herself I was terrified
When the ambulance got here I literally ran outside barefoot, gown on and everything I told her “ please save my baby she’s not acting like herself and she’s breaking out in hives” immediately they gave her an EpiPen, took her vitals and all of her vitals were just fine thank God but of course she had an allergic reaction so we went to the hospital even after they gave her the EpiPen
I have never been so scared in my life
I have an anxiety disorder so I started thinking “what if I would’ve left in an Uber instead and put my baby’s life at risk even more, what if it wouldn’t had hit me that it was an allergic reaction and I would’ve thought that it was something else and not reacted as fast????etc all these what ifs started flooding my head
but thank god we went to the hospital. We were there for six hours and she was fine thank you Jesus..They gave her steroids and Benadryl and sent some EpiPens for me to pick up at the pharmacy..Even though she’s OK I’m still dealing with a lot of anxiety of “what ifs”
Just want to know have any of you mamas had a similar experience????

This happened to me a few weeks ago when I gave my daughter egg yolk she swelled up and broke out in hives and was throwing up everywhere and had diarrhea and I guess a stress signal was making her pupils, dilate, big and then really small and then big again and she was like almost non-responsive and I freaked out call 911 they got there. Her vitals were all good pretty much the same thing, but I know what you mean by how scary that can be. It was almost like in that moment I forgot was I was suppose to do for a split second and I was calling my husband instead of 911 and I just had like a moment of panic and I had to get it together so fast and I remember thinking that I was a bad mom cuz I damn near froze up cuz something like that has never happened before.

I wonder if baby has a peanut allergy, people with a peanut allergy have an increased risk of being allergic to pea protein
